Patch Work Party 2007
The information has finally been posted on line. I first read about this in the October 2007 issue of McCall's Quilting magazine. The fabrics are bright, cheerful and would be great for the holidays. Even though I have enough projects going on I have decided to participate in Patch Work Party 2007
The idea is to purchase 12 blocks from 12 online quilting shops to make a quilt. The fabrics are from Marcus Brothers called "Home for the Holidays". Marcus Brothers also lists a free project with this fabric.
A girlfriend from our quilting group that is going to stitch along with me. As of today, we have ordered the same 4 blocks. Hopefully, each block will be a learning experience for the two of us.
Here is the link to the shops that are providing the blocks. The shops also list other goodies such as templates, finishing kits, pin, and DVDs by Marti Mitchell.
Here is a modpog of some of the blocks I will be making. All blocks are 12 inches square. When you purchase a block kit I will recieve fabrics, pattern, and templates to complete it.

Oh, those look like very interesting fabrics! Tell me how you like this program, after you get into it a bit. I saw a similar one last year, and didn't do it. Having a stitch buddy should help!
This looks like a fun project. It's also good to see you posting. Be sure to keep us updated. Take Care. I miss you!
