Look Who Is Home
Look who is home! John arrived home Wednesday. I feel real fortunate that the two of them took time out to come spend a couple of days with us.
I spent most of the time in the kitchen cooking and did not care. John ate like there was no tomorrow. He said it was good to eat food that tasted like something and not out of a can. Over the weekend we had barbecued Copper River salmon and trout, pasta salad, barbecued ribs, rhubarb custard pie.
Kayden is here helping stack next winter's firewood. Kayden (3) was born when John was on his first tour in Iraq.
What a wonderful way to spend a Memorial Day weekend. It was good to have John and his family here for a few days. How I had missed him.

I'm so happy he was home to eat all that delicious cooking! I'm sure it felt fabulous for him to be home with you.
He had a perpetual grin on his face all weekend! That said alot. How I had missed that!
By October he and his family will be stationed in Japan. It is sad for those of us left behind but a good move for his career.
I will be sending a teapot wallhanging with them. I had better get busy.
I'm so happy for you! What a wonderful time you must have had. Kisses and hugs to ALL. :-)
