Friendship Star Table Runner~~~~tada!!
I have not mentioned my table runner for some time. The table runner has been complete for a while now. I think some family stuff and a fishing vacation got in the way.
The Monday Quilting group had us working on triangles. We also had lots of practice with the seam ripper. I honestly thought that the fabric was going to fray so bad that this project would never come together.
When I started this I had pulled the dark purple and lavender fabric and the floral fabric from my stash. Then went shopping for the green to match. I actually reshopped and recut the solid green in the star twice. I blamed it on trying to use '80's fabric with fabrics from 2007. The finished size is 18 x 38. Perfect size for the dining room table. Yes, I have purple somewhere in everyroom of the house.
Now that it is complete, it is okay. Besides, I used something from my stash. I still do not see a dent in the stash or have room for more. Maybe if I try this process a couple of times it might work.

Lots of use....especially at our house! It seems it is always full of kids coming home.
John got home from Iraq on Wednesday at 6:30 pm, they are coming to stay a couple of days. they are arriving Sunday!
Very pretty. Start now and everyone can have one for Christmas, plus you can go shopping by then for new fabric!
